This is where we will set activities for you to complete at home, together with providing the necessary support and guidance you may require.
For pupils in Year 1 to 6, we would like you to do the following things everyday until our school re-opens.
Lesson 1: PE
At 9am join in with Joe Wicks (the Body Coach TV) on Youtube and take part in his PE lesson.
Lesson 2: Reading
Read a book for 20 minutes each day or read a story online. Please click on the Reading star tab below for a collection of websites that you can access for free including Amazon Audible Stories, Oliver Jeffers (author Oliver Jeffers will read one of his books every day at 2pm) and many more. Please log on as a family and listen to his storytelling. Your teacher will also give you paper copies of reading activities and set you some reading comprehension or phonics activity on Education City.
Lesson 3: Mathematics
Please log on to Timetables Rockstars or Sumdog for 20 minutes each day and practise your timetables multiplication and division facts. Your teacher will also give you paper copies of maths activities to complete. Your teacher will also set you a daily maths activity and lesson on Education City. For those who like to be challenged visit the school website and look at White Rose and Nrich.
Lesson 4: Writing
Please complete a writing challenge card each day (click on the writing tab). The challenge should take 30 minutes to complete in your writing book. You can also use this book to practise writing in cursive script by copying passages out of books or writing your own stories and poems.
Lesson 5: Mental Health and Wellbeing
Log on to Cosmic Kids Zen Yoga or Go Noodle on Youtube.You know what to do!
Lesson 6: Wider Curriculum (family project: please do it as a family - please look in the Wider Curriculum tab for more information)
Lesson 7: Phonics (see Writing tab for more information)
Please click on the EYFS tab to access Reception and Nursery home learning.
